Rebecca Palmer  – Hey it’s Me!

I’m just your average, ordinary mom of four, entrepreneur, baker, law clerk, visionary, and oftimes superwoman.

A lifelong learner, I also have a bit of a conference addiction. If only I could figure out how to get someone to pay me to attend conferences…

I love learning new things, hearing new perspectives and engaging with people in new environments.

I also believe strongly in stepping outside your comfort zone and facing your fears.

I have spoken at Ignite Barrie, MoMondays and have been a repeat guest on Rogers Your Business With Barb and Your Business with Charmaine.

An active community member with a strong networking background, I always have the needs of our entrepreneurial community in my thoughts. My dream is to see entrepreneurs and the private sector work collaboratively to ensure business success across the region and connect youth to the workforce.

This July, I am headed on two new adventures: Chris Guillebeau’s World Domination Summit in Portland, Oregon (over 3000 entrepreneurs attend this event) and the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance Summit in Sydney, Australia (as one of 15 entrepreneurs selected to represent Canada).

Rebecca currently sit on the Georgian College Entrepreneurship Advisory Board and am Vice-Chair of the Barrie Public Library Board and has been or is still a member of Simcoe County Young Professionals Association, Barrie Chamber of Commerce, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and Barrie Open Coffee Club. In 2012, Rebecca was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Simcoe County Young Professionals Association and has been nominated for Barrie Business Awards in 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 for her family business, Simcoe North Fixtures & Packaging, through the Barrie Chamber of Commerce.
