The Chocoholic Smoothie Recipe

I love chocolate so when I decided to create a smoothie for that energy every entrepreneur needs, it turns out I used a lot of chocolate!

Smoothie ingredientsAs you can see, this smoothie has a lot of ingredients. It is yummy (but not sweet) and keeps me feeling full of energy for most of the day. I’m not a coffee drinker so this is my morning pick me up.


1 cup ice

1 handful spinach

1 teaspoon Ashwaganda Root Powder (also known as Indian Ginseng)

1 teaspoon Maca powder

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 tablespoon (or 2) Cacoa (not cocoa) powder

2 tablespoons chocolate Hemp protein powder (I prefer Manitoba Harvest or North Coast Naturals)

1 tablespoon chia seeds

Several dashes of cinnamon

1 cup of chocolate coconut milk or enough to blend

Mix in blender and enjoy your smoothie!

You can add or modify ingredients as desired – some people like to add bananas or yogurt. Or, try a different protein powder. Personally, I find Vega and Genuine Health powder too sweet and chalky but you may love them.

As with all health supplements, check with your doctor before using Ashwaganda Root and Maca.
